Membership

 

Africa Peace has two types of members: active members and honorary members.

 

Active members

 

a. Active members are individuals from different African countries and  Diaspora who adhere to the mission of Africa Peace and are fully committed to working for its accomplishment.

 

b. Membership fees are One Hundred (100) US Dollars and the annual fee is Fifty (50) US Dollars.

 

Honorary Members

 

The honorary members are friends of Africa Peace. They are personalities who had interacted with Africa Peace in various capacities, believe in Africa Peace and have accepted to stand for its progress.

The General Assembly

 

The General Assembly of members is the supreme decision-making body of Africa Peace and shall comprise all members as shall from time to time join the same.  

The Executive Board

In charge of implementing General Assembly's decisions, and the programmes and projects of Africa Peace, the Executive Board is comprised of the President, the Secretary, the Treasurer, the Regional Coordinators, and the Country representatives. 

The Transitional Continental Executive Board (July 2022 - June 2023) is composed of the President, Regional Coordinators Country Representatives and Africa Peace Benin's Programme Officer and Finance Officer.

The Secretariat

Under the authority of the Executive Director, the Secretariat is composed of volunteers and / or paid staff recruited according to the standards of transparency and merit. It shall ensure the permanence in the life of Africa Peace, prepare the statutory meetings and implements or supports the implementation of the Africa Peace's projects. 

 

The President of Africa Peace also serves as Executive Director until volume of activities and budget allow otherwise.

International Referents

   

The international referents are friends of Africa Peace and former partners who trust in Africa Peace, serve as references for Africa Peace and back the Executive Board for the mobilization of resources and partnerships to accomplish the mission of Africa Peace.
